Vision and Mission

Founded on a strong belief in accessible education, The East African Higher Education Scholarsahip Fund's vision is geared towards the achievement of a prosperous, skilled and integrated Africa. 

Our mission is to be that catalyst.

Providing the means and opportunity through post graduate scholarships in Public Health, International Development, Energy Resources and Business Management. Setting students up to meet the increasing demand for a more highly skilled workforce and be the change makers of tomorrow. 


Our board


Jeremy Kirk


Jeremy has thirty years’ experience as a chartered accountant, working both in private practice and in industry and commerce. He has held FD and Financial Controller roles in a wide variety of companies with turnover from £100k to $1 billion. These have included Galileo International, RAC, SITA and Orange. 

Jeremy’s main interests lie in helping smaller companies and start-ups. He has a strong commercial focus, aimed at driving efficiencies and increasing profitability. His expertise includes advising and managing start-ups; restructuring businesses to improve profitability; raising finance; investor relations; joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions; identifying profitable new business opportunities; and establishing and managing effective finance functions.

Greg Coleman

Coleman is an experienced Managing Director with more than 40 years in the oil and gas industry. Now working to help companies within the industry to develop, from strategy and investment to decision making and management systems.  Taking this global experience and applying it to private organisations, on projects ranging from rescue operations and crisis management to business growth and development.

Greg advises the East Africa Higher Education Scholarship Fund in development opportunities within the UK and wider European Economic Area.
